MAKE IN INDIA WEEK

Interaction with Mr Atul Chaturvedi, IAS, Joint Secretary, DIPP, Govt of India Tuesday, 12 January 2016 : 1030 Hrs: Hotel Radisson Blu, Kochi

  

To enable India to capitalize on the growth opportunities and position itself as the Global Engine of Growth and the Global Manufacturing Hub of choice, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Govt. of India in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing‘The Make in India Week’ from 13th – 18th February 2016 at MMRDA Ground, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.

 

The Make in India Week is envisaged as a global platform to celebrate the achievements of the ‘Make in India’ campaign, to strategize India’s integration with the global economy and to provide a platform for global partnerships.

 

The Week will feature an exhibition of the most innovative products and manufacturing processes that have been developed in India. Undoubtedly, this will represent an avant-garde statement in design, merging the aesthetics of traditional craft with a futuristic vision. The Exhibition will focus on key manufacturing sectors like Chemicals; Aerospace and Defence; Construction Equipment; Pharmaceuticals; Food Processing; Electrical Equipment & Machinery; Automobiles & Auto Components; Textiles; Infrastructure and Electronics.

 

In addition, the Week will also encompass key discussions like the ‘Asia Business Forum’ and respective State Governments’ sessions and sector specific seminars through a series of roundtables and networking events. The platform will have leaders from all walks of life and will see an active engagement and collaboration of Indian States and with the rest of the world. It would also stimulate discussions among the key stakeholders from Governments, Institutes, Business and Media on the best strategies and to look at how both developed and developing economies can encourage & build new bridges to foster balanced and equitable growth.

 

As a part of the run-up to the Make in India Week;Mr Atul Chaturvedi, Joint Secretary, DIPP, Govt of India will be inKochi to interact with the industry and key stakeholders.
